Annual Sports Day
Annual Sports day was held at Malleshwaram Play Ground Bangalore. The Guest of honor was Mr. Chowde Gowda, Principal, Dept of Physical Education BGS college, and Mr Srikanth Indian Throwball technical Committee member. The Spectacular March past was followed by Lighting of the Torch by the guests and Students. The Chief guest addressed the gathering by saying that physical fitness is essential for good health.
Inter College Basketball
Bangalore University Basket Ball tournament was held, The tournament was inaugurated by Mr. Ashraf Ali, Indian Basket Ball Player. 20 matches were held between 16 Colleges across the city. The winners were St Joseph’s Commerce College and Runners were Sindhi College of Commerce. The Chief Guest for the Valedictory function was Mr. Mohan Kumar J.K,Joint secretary Karnataka State Basket Ball association. The tournament was successful and saw a bench mark in the history of the esteemed institution.
Inter College Badminton
Bangalore University Badminton tournament held for the fourth time successfully. The gathering was inaugurated by our esteemed chief guest Ms. G M Nischitha, National Badminton Player. There were around 90 colleges who participated in this Tournament including boys and Girls. The Winners of Men’s team are Surana College (2-0) and the Runners are National College. The Winners for Women’s team are Mount Carmel College(2-1) and the Runners are Surana College. Winners were rewarded Cash price Rs.2500 and runners were rewarded Rs.1500.
